Daniel Stroik

Daniel Stroik is an investment analyst at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. Prior to this, they worked as a senior data specialist at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where they managed and drew insights from data across the US in order to improve the health outcomes of individuals, specifically focusing on the Abortion Access Crisis project.

Before that, Stroik worked as an associate in data science and analytics at Razorfish. There, they created a dashboard updated daily that visualized over 200 metrics across internal and external data sources focusing on those related to the recovery of the travel industry in 2020, used by both agency and client teams with positive feedback. Daniel also developed data pipelines necessary to support the “recovery” dashboard using automated cloud compute machines, a Big Query database, and respective python APIs.

At New York Life (Insurance), Stroik trained a logistic user engagement model on data from over 100 million users to build marketing audiences, retraining and predicting daily. Daniel utilized class balancing measures and custom evaluation metrics to identify behavior linked to infrequent but highly valued conversions. Daniel also created a media mix model that showed influence of various marketing channels on sales, accounting for external factors such as economic shifts seasons, and competition.

Finally, at Church and Dwight (CPG), Stroik analyzed web traffic across eight different brands and informed two site redesigns that increased user-generated content by ~30% each time.
