Elle Chavis

Elle Chavis is currently serving as an Associate Editor and Beat Writer for The Chronicle, Duke University's award-winning student newspaper, where responsibilities include writing articles for the Sports Department and covering Duke athletic events. Chavis is also a Robertson Scholar in the prestigious Robertson Scholars Leadership Program, focusing on leadership development and community contributions through a four-year scholarship and unique experiences at both Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. Previous experiences include a summer internship at Dress for Success New Orleans, where press releases were written and marketing strategies developed, a role as Studio Crew at SoulCycle Inc., and acting positions at Duvall Mac Talent and Kim Dawson Agency Inc. Additionally, Chavis served as a Childwatch Attendant at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas and a Legislative Intern for Representative Victoria Neave, where research and graphic design work were conducted. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Journalism and Media at Duke University, Chavis's educational background includes graduating from The Hockaday School in May 2023.
