Gaurav Bhandari is the Managing Partner of Long Arc Capital. Prior to starting Long Arc Capital, Gaurav was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for the private investment portfolio for Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, a multi-strategy investment fund within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He was actively involved in investing activities for the fund in the Americas and Asia and led some of the largest transactions for the group, including investments in Facebook and Uber. Gaurav joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 and worked in a number of areas and roles, including as a quantitative strategist and an investment banker. For the last 12 years of his career at Goldman Sachs, he worked as an investor and portfolio manager.
In addition to Robertson Stephens board, Gaurav currently serves on the boards of Tinubu Square, an enterprise software business; and Renaissance Alliance, an insurance distribution platform for independent agents (all LAC portfolio companies).
Gaurav has previously served on the boards of several companies including Networked Insights, an advertising technology company; Media Rights Capital, an independent film and television studio; iCrossing, an advertising technology company; Demand Media, an internet media business; Tikona, a wireless broadband business in India; James River Group Holdings, a specialty insurance and reinsurance business and Leor Energy, an oil and gas business.
Gaurav earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Columbia University.
