Mallon is a Principal and Managing Director at Robertson Stephens and is responsible for enhancing the firm’s financial planning capabilities. He provides comprehensive planning and works closely with clients to understand their goals and objectives. He manages clients’ investments and integrates their investment strategy, tax planning, risk management, and estate planning into a cohesive wealth management plan.

Mallon has over 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. Prior to joining Robertson Stephens, Mallon was a Wealth Advisor at Safran Wealth Advisors, LLC a SEC registered investment advisor located in New York, NY. At Safran, he managed client relationships, created and implemented comprehensive plans, and was responsible for trading and investing. He founded Garden Street Advisors, a NY registered investment advisor, and merged it into Safran Wealth Advisors. Prior to this, Mallon held senior roles at JP Morgan Private Bank, Capgemini (serving Morgan Stanley), and Private Client Resources, LLC. In these roles, he was primarily focused on bringing clarity to the financial lives of high net worth and ultra-high net worth families and family offices through the use of digital wealth services.

As an advocate of personal finance and education, Mallon volunteers his time to help victims of domestic violence with financial literacy through the Family Justice Centers of Manhattan. Additionally, he co-leads the Financial Planning Association of Metro NY’s NexGen group and serves as a mentor in financial literacy to students of the Borough of Manhattan Community College.

Mallon graduated from Lehigh University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He earned his CFP® through NYU’s partnership with Dalton and is a member of the FPA. He serves as a board member of the Sag Harbor Whaling Museum and leads the fundraising committee.

Mallon enjoys spending weekends with his wife and two children in Sag Harbor. His interests include history, rock climbing, and cooking.
