Shane Wilkinson has a diverse work experience. Shane started their career in 2004 as an Instructor Supervisor and Air Traffic Control Tower Watch Supervisor in the United States Air Force, where they were responsible for controlling and regulating terminal air traffic. Shane also served as an Air Traffic Control Specialist at USAF Balad AB Iraq, supporting the Iraqi Freedom Campaign and receiving accolades for their service.

In 2015, Shane transitioned into a role as an Air Traffic Control Training Instructor and Instructor Supervisor, where they developed and maintained training programs for the United States Air Force and provided support to various FAA Air Traffic Control Centers.
