Maite Palmer is currently the Support Services Head at Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. Prior to this, they were with Vestas Shares Services Philippines A/S ROHQ from September 2018 to October 2019, where they were VP Finance Shared Services.
Maite is overall responsible for the continued expansion of the global finance shared service footprint for Vestas globally, covering Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Account to Report and Financial Controlling activities. Maite is also responsible for Finance and Customer Master Data Management. Maite managed a team of almost 400 FTEs, including Global Controls & Compliance.
Some of their specific achievements during their time at Vestas include transitioning teams from SLA-driven operators of finance processes to ‘finance stewards’, driving cross-functional process improvements to improve end-to-end workstream process efficiency and quality. Maite also transformed monthly finance stakeholder routines from SLA reporting to more meaningful and relevant full workstream performance, focused on issue management and root cause actioning. In addition, Maite set up technical lead/SME roles and directed the development of improvement roadmaps by workstream towards ‘best in class’ finance processes. Lastly, they successfully secured executive sponsorship for the transformative ‘Touchless Intercompany’ project as one of the top 2020 finance initiatives globally.
Maite Palmer reports to Robina Gokongwei Pe, Director, President & CEO. They are on a team with Katherine Michelle Q. Yu - General Manager, Daiso Japan, Rosalinda F. Rivera - Corporate Secretary, and Mark O. Tansiongkun - VP, Procuremen & Administration.
