Johnny Zhou

Johnny Zhou is an accomplished engineering manager currently leading the User Safety team at Roblox, where responsibilities include minimizing exposure to abusive behavior and content through behavioral change. With extensive experience across several prestigious technology companies, including Google, Uber, Box, and Oracle, Johnny has a proven track record in trust and safety, engineering management, and software development. Previous roles include leading multi-site teams at Google for Stadia Trust & Safety, focusing on abuse prevention and real-time toxicity filtering, as well as significant contributions to projects in various areas such as ads, Android Automotive, and cloud services. Johnny holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
