Mahesh Nandwana

Mahesh Nandwana is a highly experienced machine learning scientist with a focus on audio, text, and image domains. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Machine Learning Scientist at Roblox since January 2022, Mahesh leads Generative AI projects. Prior to this role, Mahesh worked as a Technical Lead at Apple, where responsibilities included directing multimodal models to mitigate false triggers for on-device Siri. Past experience also includes significant research on speaker recognition and audio detection at SRI International, combined with roles at Blue Jeans Network, Robert Bosch Research and Technology Center, and various internships and academic positions, showcasing a strong background in machine learning and audio processing. Mahesh holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur.
