Minkyong Kim

Minkyong Kim is a seasoned technology leader with a robust background in engineering and artificial intelligence. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Roblox since 2024, Minkyong Kim previously held the position of Engineering Director at Apple from 2021 to 2024, overseeing Siri for personal devices and significantly enhancing user engagement with innovative features. Prior experience includes a Vice Presidency at Samsung Electronics, where Minkyong Kim led the development of AI services such as Bixby Voice and ensured GDPR compliance. Additionally, Minkyong Kim contributed to research as a Scientist at IBM T J Watson Research Center and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dartmouth College, focusing on mobile computing and wireless networking. Minkyong Kim earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in the same field from Seoul National University.
