Software Engineer

Wen B. is a seasoned software engineer with a robust background in both engineering and academic roles. Currently, Wen serves as the lead engineer on the matchmaking and infrastructure software teams at Roblox, focusing on gaming orchestration since 2019. Previously, at Adobe (2017 - 2019), Wen worked as a platform engineer, enhancing digital marketing tools while also acting as the organization's deputy security champion, where responsibilities included secure software development lifecycle practices and architecture reviews. From 2014 to 2017, Wen led a team at Asurion responsible for ensuring the reliability of applications that protect millions of Verizon customers, while also being a member of the Asurion Security Mavens. Before entering the corporate sector, Wen spent a decade as a Research Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University, leading software development in fiber diffraction and contributing to significant NIH research projects. Wen co-founded Zizhu Digital Technology in 2003, focusing on internet and web services. Wen holds a degree in computer science from Purdue University, specializing in fiber diffraction.
