Yequn Zhang

Yequn (Mike) Zhang is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in AI and semiconductor technologies. Currently serving as Principal Engineer at Roblox since February 2025, Yequn focuses on accelerating and scaling foundation AI. Previously, at Amazon from June 2021 to February 2025, Yequn contributed to AI acceleration projects, including prototyping AI accelerators and developing deep learning models for computer vision applications. Prior to Amazon, Yequn led software and algorithm development at Gyrfalcon Technology Inc. and held engineering roles at ClariPhy Communications and various internships in prestigious research settings. Yequn earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona, with research on advanced coding techniques for fiber-optic communications.
