Changkai Z.

Changkai (Calvin) Z. is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the fields of machine learning and robotics. Currently serving as Co-Founder and VP of Engineering at RoboForce since June 2023, Changkai previously held the position of Tech Lead at Cruise, where responsibilities included leading scene understanding and expanding a driverless fleet. Prior experience includes serving as Tech Lead for Autonomy at Cyngn, contributing to the development of autonomous vehicles and playing a key role in taking the company public. Changkai also held a position as a Software Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on large-scale systems, and worked as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University, concentrating on AI research in automated transportation. Changkai holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering & Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
