Senior Mechanical Engineer at Roborigger

Cheng Hoe Pua has worked in the engineering industry since 2006. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer for Kellogg Brown and Root pty ltd, where they were responsible for preparing Mechanical Equipment Data Sheets, Specifications, Engineering Design Basis (EDB), Material Take Of (MTO) & Mechanical Equipment List during the Detail Engineering Study (DES) Phase, as well as engineering of all the mechanical equipments during the Detail Design Phase. From 2007 to 2010, they worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Icon Engineering Pty Ltd. From 2010 to 2019, they worked as a Project Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer for Tensa Equipment, where they were responsible for the project tendering, project management, detail design, third parties (DNV, ABS or Lloyds) certification, manufacturing and fabrication, testing and onsite commissioning as well as management system set-up and documentation, internal and external audit, and liaising with internal staff. Since 2019, they have been working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Roborigger, where they are responsible for the mechanical design, technical consultancy, third parties certification, fabrication and manufacturing, delivery and commissioning for the Roborigger System.

Cheng Hoe Pua completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronic Engineering at Curtin University from 2003 to 2006. In 2008, they attended Engineering Education Australia and completed ASME Master Classes in ASME B31.3 Process Piping, Design and Fabrication of Pressure Vessels, and Inspection, Repairs and Alterations of Pressure Vessels. In 2016, they completed an ISO 9001:2015 Awareness Course at Bureau Veritas Australi. In 2017, they completed an Applied Project Management course at the Australian Institute of Management and a Diploma of Project Management BSB51415. Cheng Hoe also completed a Basic Hydraulics course at Site Skills Group. In addition, they hold certifications from the Board of Professional Professional Engineers Queensland Government, The Institutions of Engineers Australia, National Engineering Registration Board, and The Institution Of Engineers Australia.
