Paul Redhead

Paul Redhead is the current Technical Lead at Robotics Cats, a previous company they have also worked for in the past. Paul has also worked for Nedap Identification Systems and Insight Robotics Ltd. as a Software Consultant. In their previous positions, they were responsible for business development, partner channel management and training, technical on-site assistance of Smart Parking projects, while interfacing with technical support in The Netherlands. At Insight Robotics, they were the lead software engineer modernising company wildfire detection algorithms and guiding a team of 5 local engineers in significantly upgrading the product offering. Paul was also the technical liaison for the Business Development Team with 20% travel to international customers and solely developed a Dot NET based surveillance application to: display near-real-time images from a database as a across multiple monitors, render a Geographic terrain overlay onto the images, and various image overlays to assist users.

Paul Redhead's educational career includes completing a BSc in Computer Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, as well as a BSc (Hons) in the same field from the same institution. Paul also has a Commercial Pilots Licence from Airline/Commercial/Professional Pilot and Flight Crew, which they obtained through self study. In addition, Paul has completed a Private Pilots licence from Aircraft Pilot (Private) at Virginia Flight School. Furthermore, they have various certifications from PEOPLECERT in PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate, as well as from Mikrotik in MikroTik Certified Network Associate, MikroTik Certified Routing Engineer, MikroTik Certified Wireless Engineer, MikroTik Certified Inter-networking Engineer and MikroTik Certified Traffic Control Engineer.
