Paul van Tieghem

Paul van Tieghem is a Machine Learning Engineer at Robovision, specializing in 3D computer vision for agricultural robotics since October 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Student Software Engineer at NeuroTech Leuven from March 2022 to June 2023, where Paul worked on non-invasive neurotechnology projects within a multidisciplinary team. Paul was also a member of the Engineering Track at Junior Orsi Academy from September 2021 to September 2022, focusing on surgical robotics and healthcare technology innovation. Earlier internships included roles as a Machine Learning Engineer at OTIV, concentrating on the autonomous driving of rail vehicles, and as a Sensor Integration Engineer at IVEX, working on self-driving cars. Paul holds a Master of Science in Mathematical Engineering and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, all from KU Leuven.
