Raumi Sidki has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. They currently hold the position of Staff Robotics Engineer at Robust.AI, starting in August 2022. Prior to this, Raumi worked at Amazon Lab126 as a Software Engineer specializing in robotics from April 2018 to July 2022.

Before joining Amazon, Raumi worked at Apple as a Siri Software Engineer from May 2014 to April 2018. Their work at Apple involved writing and architecting software for Siri, focusing on natural language understanding, machine learning, and user interaction. They also played a role in implementing platform tools for ML modeling and development. Raumi has skillfully engineered the Siri experience for search and Q&A requests for video content on the 4th generation Apple TV.

Raumi's work experience also includes an internship at the National Robotics Engineering Center in 2013. As a Software Intern, they were part of the Tartan Rescue team competing in the DARPA Robotics Challenge Trials. Their responsibilities included analyzing manipulation planning algorithms, designing safety-critical code, and creating control and monitoring interfaces for robot operators. They gained hands-on experience working with the team's 400-pound robot called CHIMP.

Additionally, Raumi has interned at SAIC in 2012 and HPTi in 2011, both in software engineering roles. These internships provided valuable exposure to the field and helped Raumi develop their skills in software development.

Raumi Sidki completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering (Electrical & Computer Engineering) at Virginia Tech from 2008 to 2012. During the same period, they also earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in French, Liberal Arts and Human Sciences from Virginia Tech. Later, from 2012 to 2013, Raumi pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Robotics Systems & Development at Carnegie Mellon University.
