George Delves

George Delves has a diverse range of work experience in the football industry and education sector. George most recently worked as the Chief Operating Officer and Club Secretary at Rochdale AFC. Prior to that, they held the position of General Manager at Chester FC, where they were responsible for the day-to-day operations and also served as the Football Secretary for the first team and senior Academy teams. George also worked as the GM/Chief Operating Officer at Tamworth Football Club. Additionally, George has experience in coaching and mentorship roles, having worked as a Coach Mentor at The Football Association and as part of the Academy Management Team at Sheffield United Football Club. George also worked as the Head of Education at Derby County Football Club, where they were primarily responsible for the education and player welfare provision. Before entering the football industry, George worked as an Economics Teacher at Beauchamp College, where they prepared and delivered lessons to 14-19 year old students. George also had various part-time coaching roles at Leicester City Football Club, where they contributed to community initiatives and helped manage the Girls Centre of Excellence team.

George Delves has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Coventry University, earned between 2002 and 2005. George then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with a focus on Secondary education at the University of Worcester from 2005 to 2006. In 2015 to 2016, George attended Solent University to obtain a LMA Certificate in Professional Sports Management and Administration (Football). Lastly, from 2018 to 2020, they studied at The University of Salford for a Master of Science degree in Sports Directorship.
