Alberto Gatto

Alberto Gatto is currently a Principal Scientist II in Bioinformatics at Roche Sequencing Solutions, specializing in NGS method development and the analysis of bulk and single-cell -omics data. With over eight years of experience in academia and industry, they have collaborated closely with bench scientists to drive discovery and validation processes. Alberto's core research expertise encompasses epigenetics, functional genomics, and cancer biology, utilizing Python for data mining and machine learning, and Bash/AWK for bioinformatics processing. They hold a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna and a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, and Molecular Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
