Gareth Shannon

Gareth Shannon is an accomplished bioinformatician and data scientist serving as a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist II at Roche since 2018. Previously, they were a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellow, where they independently researched computational protein engineering and contributed significantly to department revenue. Gareth earned a PhD in Bioinformatics from the University of Nottingham, developing novel computational methods and fostering partnerships with NASA. Their early career included a role as a Graduate Implementation Consultant at AquilaHeywood, where they honed their problem-solving and client relationship skills.
