Junaid Shabbeer

Junaid Shabbeer has extensive experience in clinical molecular genetics and laboratory management, having held significant roles in several leading organizations. As Senior Director and Principal Investigator at Roche, from October 2016 to August 2021, Junaid directed next-generation sequencing operations in the Roche Molecular CAP/CLIA laboratory to support innovative tumor testing and liquid biopsy applications. Prior roles include Senior Laboratory Director at Ariosa Diagnostics, Laboratory Director at Counsyl, and Clinical Science Director at QIAGEN, where Junaid contributed to the development of molecular diagnostic applications and supported various cancer-related testing initiatives. Junaid holds an ABMG Certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Mount Sinai School of Medicine as well as an MBA from New York Institute of Technology.
