Keith Wharton

Keith Wharton, Jr., MD PhD FCAP is a seasoned medical professional with extensive expertise in pathology, molecular biology, and diagnostics. Currently serving as the Global Medical Affairs Leader for Pathology at Roche since November 2022, Keith oversees medical planning for digital pathology systems and associated products. Previous roles include Vice President and Medical Director at Ultivue, Senior Medical Director at Leica Biosystems, and Molecular Pathologist at Novartis. With a career that began at the National Institutes of Health, Keith has held various academic and leadership positions including Associate Dean at UT Southwestern Medical Center and faculty at Stanford University. Keith holds an MD and PhD from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
