Ryan Toma

Ryan Toma is an accomplished scientist and manager currently employed at Roche since April 2024. Prior to this role, Ryan worked at Viome from August 2017 to March 2024, where positions included Research Scientist and Research Associate, focusing on complex scientific research. Ryan began a career in research at Skidmore College, serving as a Research Assistant in a behavioral and drug research laboratory exploring neurobiological outcomes of social deprivation in adolescent female rats from August 2015 to August 2017. Additional experience includes roles as a Peer Academic Coach and Peer Tutor in neuroscience and business, as well as private tutoring at Saratoga Learning Center. Leadership abilities were demonstrated as Skidmore College Club President for UNICEF from December 2015 to December 2016. Prior research experience includes a position as Research Associate at Los Alamos National Laboratory from June 2014 to August 2016. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Skidmore College.
