Ugo Orcel

Ugo Orcel is a Scientist in Process Chemistry at Roche since December 2018, specializing in the field of asymmetric catalysis. Prior to this role, Ugo served as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Freiburg from March 2017 to October 2018. Ugo completed a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where independent project management and the development of innovative methods for constructing C-C and C-X bonds were key focus areas. Educational qualifications also include a Master's Degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Montpellier and a Diplôme d'Ingénieur in Organic Chemistry from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier. Ugo has gained practical experience through internships at Sanofi and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier, with a foundation built on rigorous scientific training in peptide chemistry and organic synthesis techniques.
