Joel Young

Joel Young, MD, serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences and Psychiatry at Wayne State University since January 2008. Joel is the Cofounder and Chief Medical Officer of MedaData, which offers advanced research utilizing a unique psychiatric data set, and MindMetrix, a patient-centric assessment service promoting improved well-being. Additionally, Joel Young is the Medical Director and Founder of the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine, where oversight of clinician activities and clinical resources is provided, focusing on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and other conditions throughout the life cycle. Their educational background includes an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, a Psychiatry Residency and Internship at the University of Michigan, and a BA in History, with High Distinction, from the University of Michigan.
