Kimberly Hempton

Kimberly Hempton currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Rochester Community Schools since August 2024. Prior to this role, Kimberly held the position of Director of Elementary Education at Bloomfield Hills Schools from July 2017 to August 2024 and served as a Principal in both Avondale School District and Holly Area Schools. Kimberly also contributed as a board member-at-large for Learning Forward Michigan, focusing on enhancing professional learning in education. Kimberly's career began as an educator at Clarkston Community Schools, where significant professional development work was undertaken. Academically, Kimberly holds two Master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Reading and Language Arts from Oakland University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University.
