Maura McCune Corvington

Maura McCune Corvington is an accomplished horn player and educator currently serving as the 2nd Horn with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra since June 2015. In addition to this performance role, Ms. McCune Corvington serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Horn at the Eastman School of Music and as a Lecturer in Horn Studies at SUNY Geneseo. As a Course Instructor for the Arts Leadership Program at Eastman's Institute for Music Leadership, Ms. McCune Corvington collaborates with senior instructors to develop teaching strategies for future music educators. Additional performance experiences include roles as a Substitute/Extra Horn with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Houston Symphony, along with prior positions at the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Ms. McCune Corvington holds a Master of Music degree from Rice University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music.
