Katie Powell is a dedicated children's librarian at Rochester Public Library since June 2016, where responsibilities include providing reference services, supervising staff, selecting materials, and planning programs for children. Katie's professional experience encompasses roles such as Young Adult Services Librarian, Graduate Assistant at Syracuse University, and various internships in collections management and archival research. Significant accomplishments include receiving the 2019 ALSC grant to launch a STEAM-focused Girl Scouts troop. Katie holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and American Studies from St. John Fisher University.
