Kyle McCarthy, GCDF, has a long history of work experience in the field of career development. Kyle began their career in 2001 as a Life Skills Builder at St. Joseph's Villa, Preventative Services. In 2004, they moved on to Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES as a Behavioral Specialist, where they also fulfilled a Substitute Teacher position. In 2006, they became a Supported Employment Counselor at LDA Life and Learning Services. Finally, in 2007, they joined RochesterWorks! as a Business Services Coordinator, and later as a Business Services Representative and Career Service Advisor / Work Experience Coordinator / Placement Specialist. In this role, they implemented tailored workforce development instruction and life-skills training curriculum, provided guidance in the areas of soft skills, workforce development, resume writing, interviewing and networking strategies, identified and referred individuals to various Employers and/or Hiring Managers, and counseled individuals on how to access various community resources.
Kyle McCarthy, GCDF, attended SUNY Brockport from 2002 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). Kyle returned to SUNY Brockport from 2008 to 2010 to complete graduate coursework in Counselor Education.
