Howard Spearman

Howard Spearman is the current president of Rock Valley College. Howard has previously worked as a senior academic advisor and multicultural student coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business, a multicultural recruitment coordinator and admissions counselor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and as the PreCollege Director at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Howard has been instrumental in developing and implementing recruitment initiatives for prospective multicultural students. Howard has also supervised four part-time community liaisons that assisted in developing a positive image and strong connections within their respective communities. As PreCollege Director, they oversaw a program that provided academic support, social activities, and cultural enrichment experiences for high school students.

Howard's commitment to diversity and inclusion has been evident throughout their entire career. Howard is a strong advocate for access to higher education for all students, and their efforts have helped countless individuals achieve their academic and professional goals.

Howard Spearman received their Ph.D. in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University. Howard also holds an MSE in Student Affairs & College Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and a BS in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
