James Johnson

James Johnson is an accomplished marketing executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Rock West Composites since August 2021, Johnson oversees marketing efforts for an employee-owned enterprise specializing in advanced composites for the Aerospace & Defense sector and significant ecommerce supply of carbon fiber products. As President of CPJ squared since 2019, Johnson leads a product development and manufacturing company focused on creating innovative private label products. Previously, as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Virco from 2015 to 2020, Johnson managed sales and marketing for the largest K-12 education furniture manufacturer, driving sustainable growth through innovative strategies. Prior roles include Senior Vice President of Innovation and Marketing at Flex R&D Inc. and Senior Director of Marketing at Avery Dennison, where notable achievements included launching significant product lines. Johnson holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Arizona State University and a BBA in Management and French from the University of Oklahoma.
