Michael (Mitch) New currently serves as Senior Vice President of Development at ROCKCLIFF ENERGY since January 2019, following a long tenure at ConocoPhillips from 1997 to 2018 where significant contributions were made across various managerial roles in subsurface technology and development. At ConocoPhillips, Mitch led teams of geoscientists and engineers on projects that included a development program for over 600K acres in the Bakken region, driving production increases in the Magnolia Field, and managing technical analysis for the Greater Ekofisk area, resulting in substantial recoverable resources. Earlier experience includes positions with Unocal Corporation, where exploration and development efforts were conducted in regions such as the Gulf Coast and London. Mitch holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Geology/Geophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
