Dr. Doreen Williams

Dr. Doreen Williams serves as a Rockdale County Commissioner for Post 2 since January 2015, focusing on strategic planning, enhancing access to the arts, and supporting jail diversion programs for those with mental health and substance abuse issues. Additionally, Dr. Williams has been a member of the Board of Directors and Second Vice-Chair at View Point Health since 2009, advocating for mental health initiatives. Prior experience includes a lengthy tenure as an educator with Gwinnett County Public Schools from 1995 to 2012, where Dr. Williams excelled as a curriculum designer and department chair, alongside roles at Mil-Dor Learning Center as a principal partner and teacher. Dr. Williams holds an Ed.D in Curriculum Studies from Georgia Southern University, a Master's in Education from Walden University, and degrees from Brigham Young University and College of the Sequoias.
