Breona Martin

OFA Attendant / Health Screener at Rockdoc Inc.

Breona Martin is an experienced Primary Care Paramedic at BC Emergency Health Services, having responded to emergency medical calls since June 2021. Additionally, Breona serves as a Psychotic Illness Research Intern at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, focusing on the impact of obstetric and perinatal complications on schizophrenia. With a background in health screening and occupational first aid as an OFA Attendant at Rockdoc Consulting Inc., and as a Youth Mentor at Find Your Path Canada, Breona actively engages in community service and mentorship. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Smith College and ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at McGill University. Breona's research experience spans various projects, including neuroprotective mechanisms in stroke injury and COVID-19 literature analysis.
