Carol Shen possesses a diverse range of experience in healthcare and research roles. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Heart Lung Innovation since May 2024, Carol also works as a primary care paramedic with BC Emergency Health Services and Odyssey Medical, both since May 2023 and May 2022 respectively. Previous roles include primary care paramedic at Rockdoc Consulting Inc. since October 2018, and Research Assistant at an air pollution exposure lab from September 2022 to April 2023, as well as at CORSIP Canada from January to July 2022. Additional experience includes working as a barista at Railtown Cafe and cafe crepe, and a tele-fundraiser at CAUSEWORX. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science in life sciences from The University of British Columbia (2019-2023) and completed the International Baccalaureate program at Richmond Secondary School (2014-2019).
