Jasimuddin Ahamed is an accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation since July 2021, and as Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Physiology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and at The Rockefeller University. Ahamed's research has significantly contributed to understanding the activation of transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and its implications in thrombus formation and cardiac fibrosis. With a background that includes an Associate Member role at OMRF and an Assistant Member position in the Cardiovascular Biology Research Program, Ahamed has a rich history of investigating the mechanisms of platelet biology, blood clotting, and inflammation across various esteemed institutions.
