Johan Kjölhede has a range of work experience spanning several companies and roles. Johan started their career at Saab as a Software Engineer from April 2011 to November 2013. After that, they worked as a Research Engineer at FOI and FLSC from November 2013 to January 2015. Then, they joined YABS AB as a Software Engineer from February 2015 to August 2015. Johan then worked as a Software Engineer at Magine TV from September 2015 to October 2016, primarily focusing on Scala Back-End development.

In November 2016, they joined Dagens Nyheter as a Software Engineer, where they worked on Back-End development and occasional devops tasks to transform, analyze, and serve source data for Bonnier's newspaper frontends and apps.

In February 2017, Johan started working at Samtrans Skol-& Handikapptransporter AB as a Software Engineer and Systems Architect Consultant. There, they implemented new systems and technology harmonization, introduced and implemented service infrastructure orchestrated with Docker over Rancher, and built Back-End components using Scala, Play, and Akka. After Samtrans was acquired by Nobina, they continued working at NOBINA EUROPE AB (PUBL) in the same role from January 2019 to September 2021. Their responsibilities included implementing new systems, technology harmonization, and working on both development and operations tasks using Docker over Rancher/Kubernetes, ELK, and Nagios.

Also, in 2017, Johan co-founded Softwarelse AB, where they served as a Co-Founder and Software Engineer from February 2017 to July 2022.

Lastly, Johan recently joined Ingrid as a Tech Lead in June 2023.

Johan Kjölhede's education history begins in 2004 at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Engineering Physics. This program lasted until 2011. In 2013, Johan briefly attended the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where they took free web courses. The first course was on the Principles of Reactive Programming, and the second course was on Functional Programming Principles in Scala. However, the specific field of study for these courses is not provided.
