Jörn Spurmann

Jörn Spurmann has a strong background in the space industry, with experience in both project management and sales. Jörn started their career at the German Space Operations Center in 2009, where they worked as a Project Manager and Scientific Assistant for three years. In 2012, they joined Altran GmbH & Co KG as the Business Unit Manager for Space, where they managed various projects in the space sector until 2014. Jörn then moved to MT Aerospace AG, where they held the role of Head of Sales for four years. Currently, they are working at RFA - Rocket Factory Augsburg as the Chief Commercial Officer and a member of the Executive Board, a position they have held since 2018.

Jörn Spurmann obtained a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Space Technology from RWTH Aachen University from 2002 to 2008. In 2006 to 2007, they studied at Chalmers University of Technology in the International Master Program in Radio Astronomy and Space Science. Jörn also attended the Alpach Summer School at an unspecified period. Additionally, they acquired certifications in Sales Management and Strategic Management from the SMP Management Program St. Gallen in November 2015 and September 2015 respectively. Jörn further obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in April 2014.
