Senior Project Manager at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA

Klaas Burger has a diverse work experience, beginning with their current position as a Project Manager at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Development Engineer at SunRider from 2021 to 2022. Klaas also gained experience as a Master Student in Flight Performance and Propulsion at TU Delft from 2019 to 2022.

Klaas has had extensive involvement with Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering, where they served as an Advisor to Stratos IV and a member of the Financial Committee from 2019 to 2021. Klaas also held the role of External Relations, Operations, and Finance Manager for the Stratos IV project from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for acquisition, finances, and operations for the 70-person student-led project aiming to launch a rocket into space.

Additionally, Klaas gained experience as a Project Management Intern at RFA - Rocket Factory from 2020 to 2021, and held positions as the Secretary of the Aviation Department and Commissioner of Logistics for the Activitee Committee at VSV 'Leonardo da Vinci' from 2016 to 2018. Overall, Klaas has a strong background in project management, engineering, and leadership roles.

Klaas Burger began their education in 2009 at Mencia de Mendoza Lyceum, where they pursued a Tweetalig VWO: Natuur en Techniek. Klaas completed this program in 2015. During their time at Mencia de Mendoza Lyceum, Klaas obtained a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge in April 2013.

Following their secondary education, Klaas enrolled at Delft University of Technology in 2015 and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Luchtvaart- en ruimtevaarttechniek/Aerospace engineering/Aeronautical engineering. Klaas completed this program in 2018.

During their undergraduate studies, Klaas also pursued a minor in Project Management from Delft University of Technology, which they completed in 2018.

Continuing their education at Delft University of Technology, Klaas pursued a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, with a specialization in Flight Performance and Propulsion. This program started in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2022.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Klaas obtained additional certifications including English A: Language and literature – Higher level from the International Baccalaureate in October 2015.
