Thomas Mason

Thomas Mason is a Lead Turbomachinery Engineer at Rocket Factory Augsburg, where responsibilities include the development of orbital class liquid rocket engines with a specialization in turbomachinery since August 2019. Previously, Thomas worked as a Research Engineer at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), focusing on the development of a micro-launcher scale liquid rocket engine turbopump impeller during a Master Thesis from September 2018 to May 2019. Prior to that, an Engineering Internship at Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands B.V. involved satellite hardware research and development. Thomas also served as a Reliability Engineer at Santos Ltd from February 2013 to June 2017, contributing to the design and operational reliability of high-pressure facilities. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, acquired between 2017 and 2019, and a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from Monash University, completed in 2012.
