Jesse Cilliers

Jesse Cilliers currently serves as an Integrated Operations Engineer for Test and Launch at Rocket Lab since January 2023. Previously, Jesse held various roles at Black Sky Aerospace from June 2019 to November 2022, including Launch Vehicle and Propulsion Team Lead, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer, and Undergraduate Aerospace Engineer. Jesse gained academic experience as a tutor at The University of Queensland and St Joseph's Nudgee College. Additional engineering experience includes a Mechanical Engineer position at Whitehaven Coal and roles at UQ Space as Propulsion Safety Officer and Lead Propulsion Engineer. Jesse's early engineering experience also includes an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer role at Downer. Jesse holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from The University of Queensland, has completed a course in Innovation Management and New Product Development at the University of Southern Queensland, and is pursuing a Master of Computer and Electrical Engineering at Purdue University from July 2023 to July 2025.
