Robert Duran is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in manufacturing engineering and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Rocket Lab since July 2024, Robert specializes in the manufacturing and machining of the Neutron rocket engine. Prior to this role, Robert held a Senior Manufacturing Engineer position at Tesla, where responsibilities included the manufacturing engineering of the Model Y giga casting, as well as supporting the rear underbody giga casting as a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer. Robert's background also includes experience as a Manufacturing Operations Manager at Precision Tool & Die, where management of machine shop operations was key, and roles as a CNC Engineer at SHR PRECISION MACHINING, LLC, and a CNC Machinist at Swiss-Micron, Inc. Robert Duran is currently pursuing a Certificate in Engineering Leadership from Stanford University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Business Studies with Honors from California State University-Dominguez Hills.
