Gerard Balsamo

Gerard Balsamo is an experienced professional in the biotechnology field, currently serving as Associate Director of Program Management at Rocket Pharmaceuticals since April 2023. Prior roles include Senior Project Engineer at Gilead Sciences and Project Engineer at both Immunomedics and Prolong Pharmaceuticals. Previously, Gerard worked as a Process Development Engineer and Senior Manufacturing Associate at Oncobiologics Inc. and held the position of Downstream Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Gerard began their career as a Downstream Biologics Process Operator and gained foundational experience in biotechnology at the University of Maryland’s Mtech Bioscale-up Facility. Gerard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering and graduated from Biotechnology High School.
