Michael G.

Michael G. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career as a Computer Science Mentor and TA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they graded lab checkpoints and assisted students in understanding assignments. Michael then worked as a Webmaster at Alpha Psi Omega - Delta Xi.

In 2016, Michael interned as a Program Manager at Microsoft, where they designed a tool to improve the product experience based on user data. Michael also refactored documentation for IT admins and end-user consumption.

In 2017, Michael worked as an Apprentice Software Developer at Updox, where they implemented a style guide using NodeJS, ReactJS, and SASS to maintain consistency in the user experience of Updox products.

From 2018 to 2021, Michael served as the CTO and Co-Founder of IPPSec Inc, raising over $100,000 in funding and presenting/demoing products to C-suite, advisors, and investors.

From 2021 to 2023, they joined Velan Studios, Inc. as a Programmer and Network Engineer, developing API features and creating internal tools for the backend services of Knockout City. Michael also implemented cost-saving measures and created file transfer programs for remote team testing.

Currently, Michael is a Project Lead Developer at Rocket Science, leading the extension team for the Game Services team of the video game "Fall Guys." Their responsibilities include team strategy, team development, project costing and breakdowns, and software architecture designs.

Michael G. received their High School Diploma from Maumee Valley Country Day School from 2007 to 2013. Michael then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Systems Engineering as well as Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2013 to 2017. Following that, they furthered their education with a Master of Science degree in Technology Commercialization & Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2017 to 2018.
