Alyssa Green is an accomplished educator and instructional designer with extensive experience in early childhood education and curriculum development. Currently serving as an Educator, Curriculum Developer, and Clinical Faculty at Rockingham County Public Schools since August 2021, Alyssa has successfully executed instructional design projects, including the creation of the integrated science summer school curriculum "We Can Explore!". Previous roles include Instructional Designer at USATestprep, where Alyssa translated and designed test preparation materials aligned with state standards, and Kindergarten Teacher positions at both Rockingham County Public Schools and Harrisonburg City Schools, focusing on engaging instruction and effective classroom management for diverse student populations. Alyssa holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Averett University and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Mennonite University. Recognized with the Inspire Award for inspiring students, Alyssa is also trained in LETRs program and science of reading best practices.

The student enrollment of over 11,600 students is supported by nearly 2,000 full-time employees. Dr. Oskar Scheikl is our Division Superintendent.
