Roger Dery

Roger Dery has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Roger started their career as an IT Manager at WorldSkills Calgary 2009, where they managed a team and successfully set up a large IT infrastructure within a short time frame. Roger then moved on to WinSport Canada as an IT Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing daily IT operations and managing external vendors. Afterwards, Roger worked at Optimal Payments PLC as a Senior IT Project Manager, handling multiple infrastructure and software projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Roger then joined Credit Union Central Alberta as Director of Technology & Innovation, where they played a key role in driving technological advancements within the organization. Most recently, Roger worked at ENMAX as an IT Governance, Risk & Compliance Specialist, conducting PCI Attestations and implementing security protocols. Currently, they hold the position of IT Director at Rockpoint Gas Storage.

Roger Dery holds a Diploma in Network Engineering & Business Administration from EduCore, which was obtained in 2004. Prior to that, they also earned a Diploma in Computer Electronics Technician from DeVry Institute of Technology in 2000. In addition to their educational background, Roger has obtained various certifications such as Strategic Business Planning from Haskayne Executive Education and Advanced Leadership Program from The John Maxwell Company in 2014. Roger has also received certifications in Agile Fundamentals Training, Agile Team Dynamics, and Scrum Master from Quadrus Development Inc in 2011. Furthermore, they hold a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification obtained in 2004.
