Max Ter Horst

Max Ter Horst is the managing partner of Energy at rockstart. Prior to this, they were the CEO of E-Kite and director of corporate finance and strategy at Emergya Wind Technologies. Max has been instrumental in raising close to €2m in venture finance and subsidies for E-Kite. Max has also won various prestigious start-up awards, such as ̵Best Start-up in EMEA Region, which was handed by a jury chaired by Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak. Max is responsible for strategy, finance, business development, legal, subsidies & regulatory issues, external communication, organizational development and technology direction.

Max Ter Horst has an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc. in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Max also has an MSc. in Chemical Engineering from Technische Universiteit Delft.

Max Ter Horst reports to Rune Theill, Co-founder & CEO. A direct report to Max Ter Horst is and Michael Hartnack - Partner, Energy. Max Ter Horst works with Daria Reutovich - Operations Director, Felipe Santamaria - Managing Director, LATAM, and Amy Wooley - Head of Relations.
