Derek Beddard

Derek Beddard is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the gaming industry, currently serving as a Senior UI Engineer at Rocksteady Studios Ltd since January 2024. Prior to this role, Derek held positions as a Senior Software Engineer at Criterion Games from December 2022 to January 2024 and at Slightly Mad Studios from October 2019 to December 2022, where also worked as a UI Programmer. Derek's career began at Broadsword Interactive Ltd as a Games Programmer from July 2004 to September 2009, followed by roles as a Senior Programmer at Stainless Games Ltd and as a Programmer at Climax. Derek holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from Aberystwyth University, completed in July 2002.
