Amy Ellis

Amy Ellis currently serves as the Superintendent for BRIDGEPORT ISD since January 2022. Prior to this role, Amy held various positions in Rockwall ISD, including Executive Director of Curriculum & Instruction and Chief Curriculum & Instruction Officer from July 2017. Amy's experience in education also includes serving as Principal at Castleberry High School and various roles at Southlake Carroll ISD, including Assistant Principal and Coordinator for Accountability, Assessment, & PEIMS. Amy began the career as a Spanish teacher at Waxahachie High School after working as a Curriculum & Instruction Administrator in the same district. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from East Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from East Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Communication and Spanish from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
