Olivia Alves is a graduate of the City University of New York, where they majored in energy policy. Olivia has worked as an intern for the NYC Citywide Administrative Services, where they helped to create and deliver citywide training courses on NYC's energy capital project process. Olivia has also worked as a research consultant for the World Resources Institute and as a legislative correspondent and staff assistant for Congressman Steve Israel. In their current position as an associate with the US Program at RMI, they are responsible for supporting the implementation of Local Law 97, NYC's landmark emissions reduction legislation, through data organization, primary research, and meeting support between City agencies and consultants.
Olivia Alves has a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University in Environmental Science and Policy. Olivia also has a Bachelor's degree in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland. Olivia has a certification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) in Rescue Scuba Diver.
