Sarah Shirazi

Sarah Shirazi is an accomplished philanthropy professional with extensive experience in community development and media. Currently serving as Senior Philanthropy Officer at Rocky Mountain PBS since November 2022, Sarah previously held the position of Philanthropy Officer at KGNU Community Radio from April 2016 to November 2022, where responsibilities included budget planning, grant writing, and major donor engagement. Earlier experiences include roles as Journalism Teacher at True Star Media & Foundation, Marketing and Editorial Director at Asian Avenue Magazine, Interim Development Director at Free Speech TV, Business & Finance Director at Open Media Foundation, and Development Director at Colorado Progressive Coalition. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing) and Political Science and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Colorado Denver.
